The weather’s finally warming up and with it comes those heady dreams of hopping in the car for an epic road trip. As a newly minted car owner, I’m doubly excited for the chance to hit the road and see something new. (In fact, I’ve got a big exciting road trip next week that I’m just itching to get going on!)

    My favorite road trips were making the “seasonal job” drives from Fairbanks, Alaska to southeast Alaska and vice versa. My roommate and I would take a couple of days to make the trip, stopping in tiny Canadian towns to do the kinds of dumb things you can only do when you’re 21 :p And the scenery was INCREDIBLE, especially the further south you got. A few years later, I took a job driving tour buses north to the Arctic Circle and after that experience, ugh, I still hate driving.
